Pre-Show: Brodus Clay vs. David Otunga - Otunga will get in a minimal amount.of offense, shortly thereafter Brodus will go into his typical formula and squash Otunga. Just before the match is about to end with Clay victorious Big Show and Big Johnny send Tyler Recks and Curt Hawkins come out and a 3 on 1 beat down on Clay ensues. R-Truth and Kofi come to Clay’s rescue. A tag team non-title match is signed for later in the ppv.
Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriguez in a Tuxedo match – I expect some decent comedy spots in the match. It shouldn’t go more than 6-8 mins. I predict Santino will get the win and reveal yet another embarrassing under-shirt worn by Rodriguez.
R-Truth & Kofi Kingston vs. Recks & Hawkins in a Non-Title Tag Team Match - Obviously this match may not actually happen. But if my prediction is true and it does happen, I think the Tag champs will get a win in a 10 minute filler match with a couple decent high spots. The heels will most likely get in a minimal amount of offense before the Faces get their shine which will lead to the win. Pretty basic stuff I assume.
Layla (c) vs. Beth Phoenix in a Singles match for the Divas Championship - I predict this match will go all in Beth’s favor for the most part. I see her getting a dominating amount of offense in throughout the match. Layla will come back at the end and squeak by with the victory, retaining the title. Beth will be taken aback by the quick victory and start laying the beat down on poor Layla. This will be when we finally see Kharma make her return. She will come to Layla’s aid and we will get Kharma & Layla vs. Beth and another heel Diva at MitB, and then the big Kharma vs. Beth showdown at Summer Slam. I also predict that Beth will regain the Diva’s title at some point between now and Summer Slam, but not at the No Way Out PPV.
Christian (c) vs. Cody Rhodes in a Singles match for the Intercontinental Championship - Christian and Cody will have a great back and forth contest, I predict it will go roughly 15-20 mins. I see Christian retaining his title at the end. Both men will get some near falls, before Christian is finally able to hit the Kill Switch for the victory. This has the potential to steal the show.
Sheamus (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship – I predict Sheamus will retain his title against Ziggler but only because either Vicky and Swagger get involved and end up accidentally costing Ziggler the match. I think WWE is ready to go full speed ahead with Ziggler, but they just need to finally unsaddle him from Vicky and Swagger once and for all. I see him finally ridding himself from that group on Monday’s RAW, and turning face. I see him then going on to win the RAW Money in the Bank briefcase, then a quick feud with Swagger may take him through Summer Slam. By this time next year, I see him as a mainstay in the main event picture.
CM Punk (c) vs. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan in aTriple Threat match for the WWE Championship - I predict that Daniel Bryan will win the WWE Championship with the help of AJ who has been on his side from the beginning. I see her “Crazy Chick” character translating VERY well to a heel persona in the future. I think after this event Punk will continue his feud with Bryan and eventually win his title back for yet another lengthy reign, but in order to keep the feud interesting, and keep having reasons for Bryan and Punk to be in the ring together other than to make absolute wrestling gold every time they lock up. Kane will most likely move on to another program after this match.
Ryback Squash match - Prediction, Ryback wins, duh.
John Cena vs. Big Show in a Steel cage match. If Big Show loses, John Laurinaitis will be fired. If John Cena loses, he will be fired. - I see Big Show getting the win with the help of none other than Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon. I think McMahon feels more comfortable in the heel role and although they don’t like to actually remember their past, maybe this will be a rare instance where they do, and have the reason for McMahon’s turning be that he WANTED to fire Cena after he lost the title to Punk last July, but he was then relieved of his duties by Triple H and the board of directors. Almost a year later Vinny Mac finally gets his revenge on Cena. This would also make sense in regards to Cena’s “I’m going to take some time off” comments he made after Extreme Rules. Maybe he really does need to take some time, and even though it didn’t happen when he thought it was going to when he cut that promo, maybe it’s happening now. I would love to see them do the “Cena’s fired” gimmick again, but do it right this time, unlike when they did it in 2010 with the Nexus and Wade Barrett.
