Money In The Bank

Tonight is Money in the Bank, a concept that has been around since March of 2005.  This match usually brings forth excitement and drama on an annual basis.  This year, however, quite frankly, I’m not even that excited.  Sure the event will most likely be fine.  The highlight will undoubtedly be either CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan or perhaps a surprise, but on the topic of the MitB matches, this year I could honestly care less.  I am fairly certain that John Cena is going to win the Raw one, unless of course some surprise entrants should rear their heads as we edge closer and closer to showtime, but at this point that seems unlikely.  I mean there are a few names out there that would fit the former champion criteria that WWE has set for the match, Randy Orton (I don’t know if his suspension is up, but it’s close), The Miz, Rey Mysterio, or even Brock Lesnar or The Rock.  The latter two are very doubtful, especially Lesnar since his return is being hyped for next week’s RAW… But you never know.  If The Rock were to make a surprise return and win the thing it would give him an excuse to come back, as well as justify why this guy who wrestled two matches in the last 8 years deserves a WWE title shot (if they are in fact going to give him the title again at some point.)  Anyway, My predictions coming out of tonight’s PPV are as follows:

-Nothing eventful will happen.

-John Cena wins the RAW briefcase

-Dolph Ziggler or Cody Rhodes wins the SD Briefcase

-Sheamus retains his WWE Title

-Daniel Bryan wins the WWE Title

-3-4 Poorly (read: not at all) promoted matches will fill in the rest of the card and will be of no consequence at all.

Yawn.
